Title
Priority based distribution of GHZ states in quantum networks with regular EPR entanglements
Abstract
We consider a quantum network where repeaters handle regular EPR pairs concurrently with GHZ establishment traffic. GHZ traffic is prioritized by implementing an admission threshold for EPR traffic, whereas GHZ traffic can use the entire capacity of the repeater. We develop and model the fusion algorithm for GHZ multipartite entanglement placed on N remote quantum nodes. GHZ creation requires establishment of regular and ancillary EPR pairs which undergo remote high fidelity EPR pair establishment, including purification and swapping procedures. Fusion phases iteratively build larger multipartite structures starting from EPR pairs until all application nodes are connected. We model repeater behavior under various traffic mixes and EPR admission thresholds using queuing theoretic analysis and a Semi Markov Process. Performance results show blocking probability for pure EPR traffic, utilization of the repeater and its memory, moments of response time as well as probability of decoherence under different sizes and mixes of GHZ structures and different values of
