We want you to achieve your goals and graduate with a degree from the School of Computing. Here's how you can make it happen.

Before your first year	Fall	Read about our programs
	December	Complete your application at the Ontario Universities' Application Centre
	May	Receive your acceptance into the School of Computing You won't be accepted directly into a degree plan; this is correct You'll select your degree plan at the end of your first year
	July	Register for courses during the enrolment period Consult the FAQ for CISC 101, 110, 151 and 121 If you require academic accommodations, register with Queen's Student Accessibilty Services
Your first year	April	Review your qualifications to determine eligibility for computer science plans If you qualify for automatic acceptance: review the School's plan offerings, attend plan selection webinars and seek academic advising in the School of Computing accordingly If you do not qualify for automatic acceptance: explore plans in other disciplines and seek academic advising from Arts and Science Student Services
	May	Officially choose your degree plan in the Faculty of Arts and Science's plan selection period Consult the FAQ for choosing a plan
Every year	End of June	Consider applying for a TAship Run an Academic Progress Report in SOLUS to determine which remaining courses you need Seek academic advising in the School of Computing accordingly
	July	Register for courses during the enrolment period Always refer to your chosen plan's requirements and prerequisite chart Note that some courses change terms from year to year depending on the availability of instructors Consult the FAQ for other Computing courses Consult the FAQ for problems getting into courses If you require academic accommodations, register, renew or update with Queen's Student Accessibilty Services
Your second or third year	Fall	Consider applying for a 12- or 16-month paid professional internship through the Queen's Undergraduate Internship Program (QUIP) Research companies and available opportunities Attend workshops, information sessions and mock interviews
	February	Consider applying for an NSERC University Summer Research Award
Your third year	Winter	Consider whether you'd like to pursue a Master's in the School of Computing Consult the FAQ on graduate studies
	June	Run an Academic Progress Report in SOLUS to determine which remaining courses you need Seek academic advising in the School of Computing accordingly
	July	Enrol in a capstone course if: your program requires it and you didn't take an internship, or you want to do an honours project
Your fourth year	October	Apply to graduate Arts and Science will review your application and find any issues Adjust your courses as needed
	Fall & Winter	Complete your plan requirements and graduate! Congratulations!
