The Queen’s School of Computing wishes to congratulate Professor, Dr. Parvin Mousavi, on her new research collaboration funded through an NSERC Engage grant.
NSERC Engage funding is specifically for new collaborations in research. Dr. Mousavi will be investigating a biofabrication and validation platform for 3D bioprinting.

Queen’s School of Computing Professor and Director of the Perk Lab, Dr. Gabor Fichtinger has been awarded funding by the Canada Foundation for Innovation’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund in support of his project NaviKnife, the world’s first spatially navigated surgical tool that can differentiate between cancerous and healthy tissues, in real-time at the tooltip.

The Queen’s School of Computing is pleased to announce that Dr. Hossam Hassanein (Director, Telecommunications Research Laboratory) is in the news today on the occasion of his award of a Strategic Partnership Grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) for his iDriveSense project – a system that integrates sensors already available in vehicles and drivers’ smartphones to provide information about the vehicle’s location and dynamics, with the goal of improving road safety.
