Walkly Team on to the Microsoft Imagine Cup World Finals!
Queen’s School of Computing students have made it to the Microsoft Imagine Cup World Finals. The Walkly team is the only one from Canada in all categories. Congratulations and good luck!
Ahmed Hassan named Outstanding Young Computer Science Researcher
One of three recipients of this national award, Dr. Ahmed Hassan is the Canada Research Chair in Software Analytics, the NSERC/Blackberry Industrial Research Chair in Software engineering for Ultra Large Scale Systems, and the director of the the Software Analysis and Intelligence Lab (SAIL) at Queen’s School of Computing.
Congratulations on the Retirement of Professor Bob Tennent!
The Queen’s School of Computing congratulates Professor Bob Tennent who will be retiring tomorrow, June 30, 2015, after 44 years of impeccable dedication and a wealth of contributions to the mission of the Queen’s School of Computing.
I am also delighted to announce that Bob has been granted the title of Professor Emeritus following his retirement.
In his letter to Bob, Principal Woolf wrote: “This honour affords the University an opportunity to express its thanks to you and to acknowledge your outstanding academic achievements and your exemplary service to Queen’s over the years.”
