Sub-Plans

What are Sub-Plans?

Sub-Plans are sets of course requirements for the Computing Major, which is a Bachelor of Computing program.

Unlike your required Core courses, which form the "backbone" of your degree and are common to all Computing plans, these Sub-Plan courses are discipline-specific. They are referred to as Option courses because you can choose:

  • the Sub-Plan that fits your interests, and
  • some of the courses to satisfy your Sub-Plan requirements.

What is a Bachelor of Computing?

The School of Computing is named as such to emphasize that its courses and degrees, while focused on computer science, also include aspects of engineering, mathematics, psychology, and other sciences. But a Bachelor of Computing degree is equivalent to a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
