The School’s own Jacob Andreou (third year Biomedical Computing) recently had the opportunity to represent both Canada and Queen’s University at Facebook’s Global Hackathon Finals in Menlo Park, California. The competition hosted teams from the top ivy league schools from all over the US, as well as teams from Brazil, England, Mexico, and Canada. Jacob and Khalid Karim (Software Engineering, University of British Columbia) comprised the First Place team. This opportunity came through the Canadian Undergraduate Technology Conference regional qualifier, a technology conference that is rapidly gaining momentum in the Canadian technology community. We are proud to share this accomplishment!
