Queen’s School of Computing Supports the Computer Science Awards Ceremony at Bayridge Drive Secondary School
On June 26th, Bayridge Secondary School celebrated its graduating class. The School of Computing supported two awards for students planning to study computer science in the fall.
Queen’s Women in Computing Award of Excellence in Computing
Awarded to a graduating female student who shows great enthusiasm and aptitude for computer science and who will serve as a role model and mentor to encourage other young women to enter the field.Queen’s School of Computing Aspirations in Computing Award
Awarded to a graduating student who has shown great interest in the computer science program at Bayridge throughout his/her high school career and who shows great passion for the discipline.
Grace McKenna was the recipient of the Queen’s Women in Computing Award of Excellence in Computing ( left) and Ethan Silver was the recipient of the Queen’s School of Computing Aspirations in Computing Award (right). It was a proud day for the students as well as their teacher Mr. Jon Swaine (middle). We wish them all the best in their futures ahead!
