Last week, members of Perk and Med-i labs presented their latest research at the SPIE Medical Imaging 2026 Conference, an international forum focused on innovations in medical imaging, image-guided procedures, and robotic interventions. Our team shared findings that included advanced imaging algorithms and novel robotic-assisted surgical techniques. They engaged with researchers from around the world and contributed to discussions that are shaping the future of medical imaging.

We also want to extend a special congratulations to Zhuoxin Guo, who received the Image-Guided Procedures and Robotic Interventions Student Paper Award at the SPIE conference. This prestigious award recognizes exceptional student research in robotic-assisted surgery and image-guided procedures. Submissions are evaluated based on scientific merit, clarity, and impact. Zhuoxin’s work distinguished itself due to its innovative approach and potential to enhance precision in surgical procedures a significant achievement in a highly competitive field.

We celebrate Zhuoxin’s accomplishment and recognize the contributions of all members who represented our research on this international stage. Their work exemplifies Perk and Med-i labs’ commitment to advancing medical imaging and nurturing the next generation of scientific leaders.
