Last week, members of Perk and Med-i labs presented their latest research at the SPIE Medical Imaging 2026 Conference, an international forum focused on innovations in medical imaging, image-guided procedures, and robotic interventions. Our team shared findings that included advanced imaging algorithms and novel robotic-assisted surgical techniques. They engaged with researchers from around the world and contributed to discussions that are shaping the future of medical imaging.

We also want to extend a special congratulations to Zhuoxin Guo, who received the Image-Guided Procedures and Robotic Interventions Student Paper Award at the SPIE conference. This award is a significant achievement in a highly competitive field and recognizes exceptional student research in robotic-assisted surgery and image-guided procedures. Submissions are evaluated based on scientific merit, clarity, and impact. Zhuoxin’s work distinguished itself through its innovative approach and potential to enhance precision in surgical procedures.

We celebrate Zhuoxin’s accomplishment and recognize the contributions of all members who represent our research on the international stage. Their work exemplifies Perk and Med-i labs’ commitment to advancing medical imaging and nurturing the next generation of scientific leaders.
