On March 27, 2026, Queen’s University hosted a delegation from the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien in Vienna, Austria, for a day dedicated to academic exchange and collaboration.

The day began with a meet-and-greet reception at Goodwin Hall, where representatives from the School of Computing engaged with the delegation to discuss common research interests and potential partnership opportunities. Following this, the group toured key research facilities, including the Med-i Lab, PERK Lab, and iStudio Lab, gaining insights into Queen’s innovative work in medical imaging, perceptual computing, and interactive technologies.
A guided campus tour provided an overview of student life and the university environment, which was then followed by a meeting with the Office of the Vice-Provost for Global Engagement. Discussions during this meeting centered on strengthening international partnerships and exploring further collaboration opportunities.
The visit underscored Queen’s ongoing commitment to global engagement and the development of meaningful academic partnerships.
