Dr. Sameh Sorour was awarded funding support from the OCE ENCQOR 5G Academic Technology Development Program
Dr. Sorour has received funding for two projects in parternship with Ericsson Canada.
A public-private partnership in ultra-high-speed communications infrastructure, ENCQOR 5G focuses on research and innovation in the field of 5G disruptive technologies, adoption initiatives, and system uses. With download times up to 100 times faster than current 4G technology, 5G and ENCQOR 5G is transforming the capabilities of companies in Ontario and Quebec to create and compete in the global marketplace. ENCQOR 5G is an open collaborative platform for research, innovation, and application demonstration that will be accessible through innovation centres spanning the Ontario-Québec corridor, enabling companies in these provinces and the broader Canadian ecosystems to develop new products and services for the next stage of the 5G digital revolution.
The Academic Development Technology Program supports industry-partnered projects that demonstrate applicability and benefit to specified 5G technologies, leading to novel, newly-adapted or adopted processes, products, or services that will keep the ENCQOR iPaaS testbed cutting edge.
